Dr. Auyeung is a dual-trained Respiratory and Sleep Physician with expertise in airways disease (severe asthma), allergic rhinitis, COPD, pulmonary nodules, pleural diseases, and sleep disorders (sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnolence). Dr. Auyeung is skilled in interventional procedures, including bronchoscopy, linear endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), nasoendoscopy, and complex pleural procedures.
Dr. Auyeung completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney, followed by physician training at St. George and St Vincent’s Hospitals. He subspecialised in Respiratory medicine at Concord and Sutherland hospitals, followed by further training in Sleep medicine and Respiratory failure at St. George Hospital. He holds advanced qualifications including a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology), Graduate Certificate in Allergic Diseases, and Clinical Ultrasound.
Dr. Auyeung has a strong interest in research and evidence based medicine and has presented at prestigious international conferences and is the recipient of multiple national research awards. He is also active in physician training and teaching; dedicates a significant amount of his time teaching basic physician trainees and medical students. He has been a conjoint associate lecturer at UNSW since 2017.
